The Oakland Yacht Club's members and
professional staff work hard to live up to our reputation as one of the
friendliest clubs on San Francisco Bay. Tucked midway down the Oakland
Estuary on the Alameda Island side, just east of Marina Village Yacht
Harbor, the club includes a restaurant, bar, and marina facilities. We
welcome cruise-ins and guests year-round from reciprocal yacht clubs. We
serve dinner every Friday and Saturday night, brunch on Sundays, lunch on
Wednesdays and cater many special events.
With more than 300 single and family memberships, dozens of members cruising
in exotic ports, a full complement of competitive racers, our own club house
and 225 slip marina, Oakland Yacht Club has a lot to offer the boating
community. The Club sponsors several sail and power races during the year,
coordinates monthly, local weekend cruise-outs to other Bay Area yacht clubs
and anchorages (January through October), and organizes several blue water
trips as far South as the Monterey peninsula. In addition to the on the
water activities, we have a full calendar of social events and educational
training seminars during the year, all of which you can read about in other
portions of this web site and track on the Club's calendar.
We always welcome sailors from reciprocal clubs to stop by and check out our
facilities and meet our members and professional staff. we invite you to
check us out. Please stop by our Club House at 1101 Pacific Marina, Alameda,
or call our Club Manager at (510) 522-6868, or e-mail
the club office.
